True Forgiveness

True Forgiveness in the Scriptures is a beautiful theme from beginning to end. Forgiveness has been called the "lifeblood of religion” because it “runs through all parts of the Scripture, like the blood in our veins, and is the foremost object in the glorious Gospel.”

Sadly, true forgiveness has been attacked and distorted. By removing the truths of repentance (turning from sin) and reconciliation (both parties being restored to each other) in connection with forgiveness, many have been led astray with a false profession of faith that does not produce godly living. In these two audio messages (booklet coming soon), the truth of repentance and forgiveness is clearly taught from God's Word.

The first message, God's Forgiveness, explains what True Forgiveness is in the Scriptures. These truths are also the foundation for how we are to forgive others. The second message, Man's Forgiveness, shows how we are to forgive others practically, "even as" we were forgiven by God.

Both repentance and reconciliation are inseparable from True Forgiveness. Teaching forgiveness without these two truths misrepresents the character of God and destroys relationships.
